...Why do people get on dA drunk and then proceed to write journals?

Fairly famous artists, too. It's like, hey, I'm drunk, I'm not going to participate in orgies or at the very least watch Family Guy, but I'm gonna get on the computer, and type up a journal about how drunk I am!

I find it rather sad.

In happier news, I haven't even doodled in months.
I joined a new dolling forum, but I'm not too excited about it. Seems like the same old deal. Politically correct, and all that jazz. That's never any fun....

I joined Plurk recently (which is kinda like Twitter, and Twitter is kinda like the 'status' thing on Facebook). And what surprised me, is that in its community, even 'famous' and 'opular' members will take the time to reply to your comments, visit your page, and leave you a comment -- even if you are a newbie.

That doesn't happen on dA. I'm sure most people are just busy, or there's not much to say to "omFg, ur artZ R liek ss0000OOoooo off da hook. ftw!!!!111one11!" other than 'thanks'. But I do think there are some artists out there that wanna jump to that "I'm too important to reply to such low-brow art comments such as 'wow, I really dig the way you used that texture, but the hand looks a little off.'"

What does anybody know of art, really? I've never had art lessons. I can't even honestly call drawing a hobby right now. But god knows I'd grovel at a comment from a 'well-known' artist like it was the word of the messiah. An obviously popular and loved messiah.

I don't know. I wish there was a re-vamped version of dA where I wouldn't be afraid to fail. I just want feedback. I don't wanna get buried in a mountain of Sonic the Hedgehog fan art done by 10-year-olds or snapshots of a 13-year-old emo girl with too much free time and a camera. It can't be too much to ask for, can it?

Everybody always bitches about how they hate to have to get used to new categorizing system, new version, new features and shit.

Well, geeze. Wouldn't it be swell if you could live the same life forever and never have to try anything new ever ever again.

Change is good. It's progress. Progress doesn't go backwards.

And then you get people like me, who bitch about people who bitch. I do like that...

I am making art.
If it kills me, I will draw SOMETHING. Perhaps I will even bring my tablet home so it doesn't distract me during finals week. But alas, my finest work is produced when I'm attempting to procrastinate. Especially on studying. Chemistry.

I REALLY felt like drawing yesterday. But I decided it would be a good idea to write my paper about the Russian Space Program instead.
