I joined Plurk recently (which is kinda like Twitter, and Twitter is kinda like the 'status' thing on Facebook). And what surprised me, is that in its community, even 'famous' and '

opular' members will take the time to reply to your comments, visit your page, and leave you a comment -- even if you are a newbie.
That doesn't happen on dA. I'm sure most people are just busy, or there's not much to say to "omFg, ur artZ R liek ss0000OOoooo off da hook. ftw!!!!111one11!" other than 'thanks'. But I do think there are some artists out there that wanna jump to that "I'm too important to reply to such low-brow art comments such as 'wow, I really dig the way you used that texture, but the hand looks a little off.'"
What does anybody know of art, really? I've never had art lessons. I can't even honestly call drawing a hobby right now. But god knows I'd grovel at a comment from a 'well-known' artist like it was the word of the messiah. An obviously popular and loved messiah.
I don't know. I wish there was a re-vamped version of dA where I wouldn't be afraid to fail. I just want feedback. I don't wanna get buried in a mountain of Sonic the Hedgehog fan art done by 10-year-olds or snapshots of a 13-year-old emo girl with too much free time and a camera. It can't be too much to ask for, can it?
